This study aimed at investigating the thought of Jamal Al-Deen Al-Afghani who witnessed the period of the Ottoman empire weakness and the beginning of the Western imperialism dissemination in the Islamic world. The study importance lies in manifesting the most important features of social thought for Jamal Al-Deen Al-Afghani in one comprehensive study instead of searching more than reference of the social thought of him, such as his visualization of imperial backwardness as well as his ideas about justice with freedom, nationalism with individuality, his real vision for the issues of education and the center of woman in the Arab Muslim society; therefore, a deeper understanding of his vision of the social reality that he experienced as one of the most prominent pioneer thinker of the Arab and Islamic renaissance. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach to achieve the study objective due to its evident role in disclosing of the theoretical side by referring to the authors' writings and the scholars' opinions about him in the investigated books, references and studies, which were divided into three chapters: demonstrating his life and biography, his intellectual effects as well as his social ideas and the analysis of that.
