The study aims to identify the effectiveness of the counseling program in improving the social intelligence of a sample of children who are victims of bullying, as the bully and the victim are exposed to many psychological, social and physical problems that may continue into adulthood, so children who are victims of bullying must be helped through preparing counseling programs that work To improve social intelligence which prevents them from becoming victims of bullying and also makes them able dealing with bullying situations and the pressures that they are exposed to.The study relied on the experimental method.
The program was applied to a group of bullying children at Hadaeq Helwan Primary School in one of the school’s classrooms, and the duration of the experiment was two months and a week, with an average of three sessions Weekly, the main study sample was chosen intentionally and consisted of (30) children, their ages ranged between (9-12) years, and they were selected from Hadayek Helwan Primary Common School divided equally into two groups, one of them is an experimental group (n = 15) and the other is a control group (n = 15) A child victim of bullying.
The study found that there were statistically significant differences in the average ranks of the experimental group members before and after applying the program on the social intelligence scale in favor of the post measurement, and there were no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the control group before and after the program on the social intelligence scale, and it was proved that there were statistically significant differences between The average ranks degrees between members of the control group and members of the experimental group after applying the program on the scale of social intelligence, which was in favor of the experimental group, while it was found that there were no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the experimental group’s degrees in the two post and follow-up measurements of the program, which indicates the retention and survival of the impact of the program’s effectiveness On the children of the experimental group after two months. The study recommends holding a lot of seminars and workshops aimed at developing positive concepts such as tolerance, love and friendship in different age groups to reduce bullying behavior.
