The research depends on the descriptive and analytical approach, and it aims to distinguish between the critical terms’ significants which used by al-Khaldieen in tracking the poetics meaning in one hand and analyzing their criteria in the comparison between the al-Ashbah w al-Nnadaier "The resemblances and The counterparts ” on the other hand. From this purpose, the research includes a preface which concentrated to review and edit the critical terms in addition to two other sections, the first studies the criteria that adopted by the two authors when comparing their definitions, and the second focuses on the critical backgrounds that have been depended on. The research concluded that al-Khaledieen have used the critical terms accurately reflecting their views. These terms are Taking, Plagiarism, Innovation, and Reproduction. Also, it included that they adopted unannounced criteria in comparing between the resemblances and the counterparts, Which is notable clearly in their comments Which refer to Semantic quality, Rhetorical quality, and Rhythmic quality.
Regarding the critical background, they seem to have a balanced attitude in the issue of (traditionalism and modernity) where they adopted the virtue of the innovation when the meaning be equal with its counterpart. They did not consider the conflict in the issue of “the word and meaning” where their attitude came on a balance, considers the meaning from the innovation perspective in addition to the innovative meaning. As well as they underestimated the poetic plagiarism, they restricted it in the telepathic and the inclusion which are in both the word and in the meaning, that they are described also Verbal theft, they made the partial scene as a help tool in the preferring, which was dominant in the traditional criticism depending on the completed verse. The research recommends to study the digression in their book, and whit its purpose.
