In this research, we try to discuss the ideas of the Spanish writer and philosopher Miguel de Unamuno, and his literary works, which were always characterized by his unique and mysterious style, which fluctuates between existential ideas and commitment to values and traditions and the principles of Christianity (Catholic).
We reviewed some of his most important literary works in an attempt to study deeply his ideas, and we found in all his literary production a reflection of his bias views towards everything that represents Spanish tradition and values, that exceeded his ability to find a way to formulate harmony between ideals, ethics and social values with a movement of progress that embraces modernist ideas that embody pure materialism and it is not characterized by any form of spiritual features ,which denies the role of human constants of feelings and ideals and belonging, specially religion and doctrine. He reached a limit in his actions to blatantly criticize the owners of these malicious ideas and who support them from other Christian denominations, such as the Protestant doctrine.
Spain is a controversial model when it is placed within a specific identity, representing multi-ethnic people, with diverse traditions and customs between regions and cities, composed of a variety of local and decentralized dialects, such as Castilian, Galician, Catalan and Basque.
Thus, the final idea that we have, shows that abstract ideas and sciences cannot in any way fit fully with the aspiration of a person who maintains his value and his human and spiritual being.
