My research, tagged (the sanctity of the Sabbath in the modern Hebrew story - selected models) deals with the analysis of some short Hebrew stories of the pioneers of modern Hebrew literature, who included in their literary works a group of religious symbols, including the Sabbath, which aims to communicate their idea directly to the recipient or the reader. Many writers quote ideas from holy books that have a spiritual impact on the reader's interpretation.
The Sabbath had a great and clear impact on the Hebrew writers because of its importance in influencing the Jews, and the reason for this is that the Jewish writers wanted to revive modern Hebrew literature. Therefore, they had to return to the Torah, which is the main source of Jewish belief, and they succeeded in employing the Sabbath in their orientations and serving their goals.
With regard to the stories, we have chosen (6) stories from the pioneers of modern Hebrew literature, such as: Agnon, David Frischmann, Yitzhak Shenhar, Yehuda Steinberg, and others.
This research includes an introduction, in which I dealt with a short overview of the Sabbath, and this introduction was followed by an overview of the life of the book, and then the topic of research. These writers, with their different tendencies, different environments, and multiple tendencies, were examples of the importance of the Sabbath in their stories. And at the end of the research come the conclusions I reached through my study of these stories.
