This topic tackles the emergence of detective , spy and horror stories in our modern Arabic literature. This emergence took place as some Arabic story writers were influenced by those types of story coming from the West as those types appeared at first in the western literature; especially,the American literature
Thus, I selected the American literature to prove that it is the most influential literature in the emergence of those types of story in our modern Arabic literature, and I chose some of Edger Allan poe stories to compare them to Mahmoud Taymore, Naguib Mahfouz;and Saleh Morsi works.
