The study deals with Muhammad Ali Pasha's agricultural policy in Egypt in the light of the Ottoman Turkish documents. It aims to identify the efforts of Mohamed Ali Pasha, the Governor of Egypt, in promoting agriculture in Egypt through the historical facts mentioned in this document. The study followed the historical approach in studying the contents of the documents and working on linking the facts and the information contained in them to the role played by Muhammad Ali Pasha in the promotion of agriculture.
In his study, the researcher relied mainly on the Turkish Ottoman documents in the Archives Unit, Algafalik (farms) and Alohad (trusts) Diwan, and some other archive units, which were kept at the National Documents House in Cairo, dealing with the correspondence sent by Mohamed Ali Pasha to Egypt's directors and contractors in order to increase agricultural land and agricultural production Which has had a positive impact on increasing national income and raising the standard of living of the people and farmers through the entry of the European market and trade crops, which has achieved great popularity and demand.
The researcher examined a large number of these documents to extract the information contained in them and link them together and rely on them in conducting the study. The researcher also relied on some Arab and foreign references to support the study.
The study concluded that the Turkish Ottoman documents are considered to be the most important sources of historical writing, and they showed the policy of Muhammad Ali Pasha and his efforts to promote agriculture in Egypt after being neglected and his efforts to increase the agricultural land in Egypt by improving the means of irrigation and reclamation of land, In agriculture and the experience of cultivating new strains of crops and abolishing the system of commitment that led to the delay of the agricultural renaissance and the loss of farmers' rights.
The researchers of the Turkish language learners must continue the march to uncover many facts and information contained in those documents, which boast the role of the various archives.
