This research discusses the infinitive and its types in the Hebrew language in the light of Biblical Aramaic and Arabic to illustrate the Similarities and differences in the infinitive and its types in the three Semitic languages, the research bears the title: "The infinitive and its types in Hebrew and its equivalents in Biblical Aramaic and Arabic".
The research aims to give a comprehensive definition to the infinitive term in Hebrew, Biblical Aramaic and Arabic, and show the extent to which the three languages agree in the linguistic and idiomatic meaning for the infinitive.
The research discusses the infinitive types in Hebrew and its equivalents in Biblical Aramaic and Arabic, Hebrew characterized by having two types of infinitives which are: the infinitive absolute and infinitive construct, mean while Biblical Aramaic retained one type infinitives which is infinitive construct, in Arabic the infinitives, concerning construction, are divided into two types: an explicit infinitive and interpreter infinitive, the research also discusses the nominal and verbal semantic of all infinitives types in the three languages and conjugation of these infinitives with prepositions.
