While research and studies have dealt with the issue of producing television programs, both dramatic and non-dramatic, the subject of artistic production of the television screen has remained beyond the reach of research, although it is the first technical operations of any satellite channel of any kind, so choosing the basic color of the screen, designing the emblem (Luco) and choosing the place It is appropriate to choose the size and color of the news tape (Saturdayitle), choose the size, shape and color of writing, as well as choose the shape and color of the timing. All these fixed elements on the screen must come according to a technical process subject to the foundations and rules of artistic production, as well as other moving elements such as the urgent news tape and the tape ( CG) which displays the names, excerpts, and titles of episodes of the programs.
The problem has become more complicated with the increase in the number of satellite channels in recent years, taking into account the limited colors and locations on the screen compared to the number of satellite channels.
Hence, this research which is divided into four chapters, the first (the general framework) includes the research problem that can be summarized by the question: What are the basic rules upon which the artistic production process of the TV screen is based?
The research aimed to reveal the output color of the TV screen, the colors of the TV badge (Luco), its shape and location on the screen, the colors of the news tape (Saturdayitl), its shape and location, the colors of writing and how it appears, as well as the timing colors, writing colors and its location on the screen. The research was limited to fixed elements, to Arab and foreign Arabic-speaking satellite news channels and foreign channels.
In the second chapter (the theoretical framework) the elements of the technical output of the television screen were studied, and it came out with a number of indicators that were adopted in the third chapter as a tool for analysis, where the descriptive survey was adopted as it is the most appropriate method for quantitative analysis. The research sample was defined in this chapter, as it included (30) Arabic and foreign speaking channels, at a rate of (10) channels for each type.
After analyzing the sample, the research in the fourth chapter reached a number of results and conclusions:
The adoption of the blue color as a color for the television screen at a rate of 67% is due to the specifications of this color and its harmony with other colors, and so is the case for the red color, which obtained the percentage of 23%.
The adoption of two colors in the drawing of the television emblem (Luco) gives a greater opportunity to clarify some of the symbols that the logo bears. It achieves the base color contrast.
The timing locations on the screen were limited to two places only, and both of them are at the bottom of the screen, as the usage rate of the lower right corner was 70% compared to 30% for the lower left corner
