It is said that the goal of the Ptolemaic kings was to highlight their kingdom from the rest of the Hellenistic kingdoms in making the city of Alexandria a great place in science and knowledge, and its geographical location helped Alexandria to become the focus of the attention of the ancient world, so the Ptolemaic kings worked to exploit the position of Alexandria and built a library to become a global center for education and the pursuit of knowledge A group of scholars and students of knowledge flocked, The movement of education, translation and literature flourished, but the library was subjected to many crises during its historical journey, including a fire that occurred during the reign of Queen (Cleopatra VII) and crises during the Christians’ eradication of pagan symbols, as well as thefts that extended the contents of the library, which are precious and inestimable books. At the price, this led to the flight of its scholars out of Alexandria from persecution, which in turn paralyzed all corners of the library, and neglect and destruction led to its complete disappearance.
