The present study aims at identifying the impact of national affiliation in the attitude Toward risk among the employees of the Directorate of Civil Defense in the city of Diwaniyah. The number of sample members was 200 randomly selected. In order to measure this objective, the national identity scale was constructed, which is in final form of (27) paragraphs, and the measure of the attitude towards risk, which is in the final form of (27) paragraph, was also built, and the conditions of honesty.
The most important results indicate that the employees of the Directorate of Civil Defense in the province of Diwaniyah enjoy a high level of national affiliation, and that the national affiliation has a positive impact on the attitude Toward risk among the members of the research sample. In light of these findings, the study recommends that the media should be instructed to adhere to the national discourse and avoid all that disengages the cohesion of the people of the same country, and to oblige all media outlets to include national symbols and slogans in their daily curriculum, such as the national anthem. The study also suggests conducting a number of studies, such as building a training program to strengthen national belonging, because of the impact on strengthening and maintaining the level of national belonging among individuals, and studying the impact of other variables in the direction of risk not addressed in the current research such as income level, grade, gender and class.
