This research examines the main factors affecting the Saudi response to the Egyptian Ottoman campaigns against the First Saudi state (1226-1233 A.H / 1811-1818A.D), which contributed to the failure of the Saudi resistance, and thus the collapse of the Saudi state and the surrender of its Capital to Ibrahim Pasha in the year 1233 A.H / 1818A.D.
The research consists of an introduction on the importance of the subject followed by a preface on the arrival of the Egyptian Ottoman campaigns led first by Towson Pasha (1226-1230 A.H / 1811-1815A.D), then by Ibrahim Pasha (1231-1233 A.H/ 1816-1818A.D), and their wars with the Saudi troops.
The main body of the research is made of four chapters dealing with four factors affecting the Saudi response to these campaigns which are the political, social, economic, and military factors. The conclusion contains the main findings of the research and is followed by a list of sources.
