The research deals with the anecdotes of the Hasidim in the book "הבדיחה והחידוד" published in 1922; it is the first Hebrew book dealing with this type of literature, as it also reflects the life of Jews in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in Eastern Europe. Through humor and rarity, he deals with everything that is socially and religiously related to Jews from a humorous perspective.
The research focuses on the character "הצדיק" model of the anecdotal Hasidim, which is one of the main ideas in Hasidism, both spiritual and material.
