This study applies the polyphonic theory on a poem entitled (Amn Aal Na'am) by the Arab poet Omar Bin Abi Rabia'. The theoretical part of the study analyzes the narrator as well as the point of view. However, the applied part examines the multiple voices of the characters and narrator in the poem. The study further delves into the narcissism of the poet who is glorified and championed by his own narrative characters. The poem as well sheds light on the ease and opulence of life during his life. The study has a conclusion in which the findings are stated. It ends with a reference page.

This study examines metastasis as a rhetorical device in the eulogy of the poet Ibn Alhaddad Alandalus who skillfully manages to move from one motif, i.e. love, to another, i.e. praise, within the same poem. The researcher has studied ten praise poems manifesting good transition from love to praise. The poems in which he praised Almo’tasem bin Somadeh, the King of Almeria, and Almuqtader bin Hood, the king of Saragotsa, exemplify his reliance on metastasis. Some of his poems open with one or two love verses for his beloved, the Christian Nouria, before eulogizing the honorable traits of Almo’tasem. Others, however, start as love poems before they eulogize and meditate over time changes. In his praise of Almuqtader bin Hood, the poet demonstrates his metastatic rhetorical skill by exploring time changes before moving to praise. To him, time brings about Almo’tasem's departure from his native city of Almeria to Saragosta.

The research entitled (the Psychological struggle of the Writer Isaac Shanahr in his Story A Meager Meal). In the story he describes the early Jewish life in Palestine with consequence of the immigration. We find that the story of A Meager Meal by Isaac Shanhar tackles accurately the life of Israel. The Zionist entity was and still is depending on immigrants in a state called (a state of Migrants). For the possibility of the state did not permit it to contain immigrants from all over the world with their various races, cultures and human readiness, then there was what is called the corridors, which are a transitional stage in which immigrants are psychological , socially and professionally adopted for the Israeli reality. These were mostly tents or chunk houses. These corridors have become specially years of the emergence of Israel. The story tells about the experience of a Jewish family immigrating to Palestine and are putting the corridors as temporary residence, but these turned into permanentONES. Shanahr depicts the disappointment that inflicted the immigrant Jew as a result of the failure in promise. The study includes an introduction, which tackled a condensed glimpse of the psychological struggle, and the introduction was followed by a brief account of the relation between the psychological struggle and the Hebrew literature. We also studied the important aspects of the author’s life, his literary style. After that we analyses the story in details and tackled the linguistic style on the which the author has depended in his story “Meager Meal”. At the end of the study the Conclusion sums up the findings.

Shanty towns (ST) appeared as a results of several factors: economic, political and demographic among others. These factors pushed rural populations to move to big cities and settle randomly on the outskirts with no regards to legal or urban regulations. This study looks at the problem of ST from several perspectives: ü How did ST develop? And why appear in Nouakchott? ü Distribution and types of ST in Nouakchott ü What are the risks associated with ST and their impact on development? ü How to stop and solve the problem of ST? ü What solutions to limit the spread of ST in Nouakchott? This study identified some of the causes of the geographical distribution of ST, their development and some characteristics of the population of ST in Nouakchott. Remedial solutions are also suggested for some of the key issues caused and faced by ST.

This research deals with the Assyrian architecture, which is one of the most important archaeological material waste of the Assyrians who settled in northern Mesopotamia from the second millennium BC (and perhaps before that) and interacted with the natural environment in this region, which made their civilization in general and their buildings in particular characterized by several advantages made them different This is because the Assyrian architecture was subjected to several intellectual and material influences, although there are many similarities between the Assyrian architecture and its counterparts of Sumerian, Akkadian and Babylonian. To highlight the most important features of the Assyrian architecture and the factors that influenced it and made it as we found it .. It is worth mentioning that each of these features or characteristics as well as influential factors are a special topic can be studied individually, taking into account that some of them studied in detail Others need new, more detailed studies, which we are working on in the near future .

The research aims to study the intertextuality levels in the poet Mohamed Mohran El Sayed play "Hekaya Men Wadi El Malh" (A tale from the salt valley), in which the author re employs the Pharaonic heritage novel, to express a contemporaneous issue disconcerting him, using the artistic techniques of selection and distribution, and mechanisms of Harmony and offset with the referential text, in order to present his new vision. The research does not depend on the narrow concept of intertextuality of Julia Kristeva, which means the linguistic presence of a text in another text, but Gérard Genette concept depends on textual transcendence, which represents in acquaintance of all that may render the text at a concealed or an apparent relationship with other texts, where the second concept implies and outstrips the first concept. The study conducts the investigation of three levels of intertextuality in the same time, first of which; intertextuality with the heritage tale, the second; intertextuality with the very texts of the complaints of the "El Fallah El Faseeh" (the Eloquent Peasant) itself, and the third; intertextuality with Salah Abdel Sabour contemporaneous play "Ma'sat El Hallag" (Scooper Trajedy). Where the researcher observes the argumentativeness of the Quotations from the two referential heritage texts and changing in them, step by step, from the play onset to the end, trying to interpret every relation of harmony or offset in light of the poet recent vision, as well as persuading the effects of the contemporaneous poetic play texts, which were apparent in his poetic discourse and his dramatic treatment. However, the substantial question we are concerned, in the research, with seeking its answer throughout the study, is not what the poet has borrowed from the heritage tale and what he left, or from the contemporaneous texts he rendered intertextuality therewith, but, it is why he has conducted that specifically and not something else in each location in the text, to arrive at the end to the recognition of the artistic value of employment of the theater heritage.

The current quantitative descriptive study investigates Iraqi EFL students’ use of the English relative pronouns. Twenty Iraqi college students were asked to fill out a multiple choice item survey. The survey involved items that check the learners’ acquisition of English relative pronouns. The findings showed that the learners faced some difficulties in the use of relative pronouns. These difficulties were obvious in various errors of omission, addition, selection, word order, and avoidance. The findings also implied that the mother tongue might be one of the reasons behind learners’ misuse of relativization (El-Badarin, 1982) in addition to overgeneralization and ignorance of rules restriction, which could be attributive to the lack of exposure to English rules and insufficient practice of grammatical activities. This study offered pedagogical implications that suggested instructors’ use of contrastive analysis in order to explain the similarities and differences between Arabic and English. This explanation helps learners understand their errors and assists them in using the correct form of relativization in the target language.
