The issue of street children, present in Egypt long ago through begging, turned to a growing social phenomenon with high volume and proportion in urban areas, which may be due to the imbalance in economic structure in Egyptian society through GATT and the effects of globalization and privatization policies which resulted in an increase in unemployment and the increase in immigration to other Arabic countries, family disintegration and the high divorce rate. Egypt does not differ from other continents where children suffer the same fate. There is no social and health care and disease prevention, environmental protection and the rest of society from the spread of these diseases due to the proliferation of large numbers of street children which spreads rapidly in poor areas and in urban communities, and there in lies the problem in increasing the proportion of such phenomenon .

Egyptian society is undergoing a stage of social, economic and political changes after the Egyptian Revolution. Such changes aim at setting the rules of democracy; therefore achieving this aim requires the availability of certain mechanisms for the process of democratization. One of these mechanisms is the formation of political parties in the light of the democratic values. So, this study tries to identify the way in which political parties can be formed in the light of such values ,identify the different social, economic and political crises that act as obstacles to democracy and identify the relationship between the ideal pattern and the realistic one of forming these parties through transmuting some program- items of the new political parties.

The history of Iran’s revolution was marred by a prolonged war of attrition in the 1980s. But by the early 1990s, different factors had altered the trajectory of Iran’s revolution. Domestically, a war-weary Iran had to contend with the pressures of re-building the country in the midst of a leadership crisis, while internationally, Iran had to reconcile itself with a new international system following the Cold War. The U.S. had become the main beneficiary of the Soviet collapse and the world’s sole superpower. The problem was that the presence of U.S. troops in the Gulf was inversely proportionate to Iran’s influence in the region and Iran’s hegemonic goals. With growing Arab support for U.S. troops in the Gulf to keep Iran and Iraq contained, the chances that a regional security system including Iran could emerge diminished. Under these circumstances, Iran was forced to adjust its foreign policy behavior in response to the preferences of other regional actors. Iran’s new conciliatory position towards the Gulf States encouraged Saudi Arabia to improve its ties with the Islamic Republic. The overlap of President Rafsanjani and Crown Prince Abdallah’s leaderships in Iran and Saudi Arabia, respectively, strengthened Iranian-Saudi ties. Rafsanjani’s pragmatist foreign policy and Abdallah’s insistence that Saudi Arabia should pursue a foreign policy less dependent on U.S. interests paved the way for the Iranian-Saudi rapprochement in 1997.

Through this study we tried to detect the Intertextuality between the texts of the Libyan novel and the social structure in which those texts were produced. Then to identify the manifestations of this relationship in those texts and the reflections of society, they refer us to, within their texture. Through which we realize the Intertextuality of the novel as a micro-structure with the social structure, with all its formatting, ideological and cultural dimensions.Hence, the presence of forms and manifestations of the social structure inside the novelist text can be revealed. The space of convergence between writers of same society and what distinguish their writings of special character, which distinguishes them from their peers in other societies, can be recognized. As well, the reflection of the cultural and ideological pluralism in a society can be showed through the polyphony within the novel, which is a reflection of the writer's awareness of that society. In most cases, novel is an expression of an experienced social reality a writer wanted to simulate it one way or another.
All this social, cultural and ideological momentum, with all its dimensions, cannot be felt except through the language of text and its techniques being the material of the story that lies in front of the reader and includes all these dimensions’ disparate momentum.
Those dimensions and manifestations of Intertextuality in the Libyan novel have been realized and monitored through two levels:
- The characters’ speechand their ideological dimensions.
- The verbal methods of characters and their relationships with the social dimension.
Through these two levels we realized the extent of the intellectual, cultural and even the income group diversity between interlocutor personalities, where each intellectual, cultural, social group and economic class has its own linguistic rhetoric and verbal style that fits it and expresses its premises, principles and its hopes and pains.

The position of the Republic of Iran on the crisis of the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait 1990-1991: Positive neutrality policy

The 1990-91 Iraqi invasion of Kuwait mixed the Middle East politically and militarily, where yesterday's allies became enemies, while enemies became natural. Amid this chaos, Iran had a very sensitive position; from one side, both Iraq and Kuwait were enemies for Iran when the later supported the former during the Iran-Iraq war 1980-88. From another side, although it is not part of the crisis, Iran could not stand still watching the political and demographic change going on next to its borders. The equation of the crisis is complicated for Iran; both sides of the crisis are enemies of Iran, the United States, another enemy of Iran, is leading the coalition to liberate Kuwait from Iraq. Also, the Iranian fear of expanding the influence of Iraq in the region is real. This paper shed a light on the Iranian stance toward the Second Gulf Crisis which was built on the 'Positive Neutrality' when Iran did not support any side of the crisis, however, Iran aimed to weakening Iraq and expelling it from Kuwait without a direct involvement. Iran did not allow for any force attack to be launched from its lands, but it allowed Kuwaitis to mobilize against Iraq which was understood that Iran was in favor of Kuwait.

And when Freud announced that subconscious controls conscious, then this centralization that the self occupied to get determine and retrieve. Meanwhile, self criticism and announcement of its decentralization are from the most factors of philosophic post-modernity movement. . Derrida disconnected Descart’s cogito through rivalry between him and “Michael Fucolut “about the interpretation of Descart cogito. Fucolut has seen that there is a real deconstruction to madness along thinking history, and that Descart cogito expresses a real alienation to madness and a complete exclusion to it. But Derrida sees that there is misread from Fucolut to Descart, as he sees that the character of malice devil which Descart took that to express complete madness . With Derrida’s language, the Descartian cogito represents the logo centrism and metaphysic of presence. But Derrida sees that the present attendance is always for the Descartian cogito composed from two absentees one the past that passed, and the other is the future which didn’t present yet, so the cogito doesn’t enjoy the complete attendance that he claimed .

E. E. Cummings is acknowledged for his bold experimentation with poetic forms and eccentric deviation from linguistic norms. His peculiar distribution of lines and unerring rhetorical skills have been given special zest and prominence on account of his twin obsessions (i.e. poetry and painting). The study is premised on the tenets that foregrounding is the dominant feature of Cummings’ visual poetry and that the multitude of semiotics in his poetic texts adds new layers of discourse that are worthy of investigation. The aim of the case study at hand is to: a) unravel the poetic effects of the foregrounding devices employed in the love poem under scrutiny, all in green went my love riding, and b) explore the potential of a Systemic-Functional Multimodal Discourse Analysis (SF-MDA) to the poetic work. To this end, the meta-functions of Systemic Functional Theory and Visual Grammar are used as the basis of analysis. The researchers argue that even with the less deviant of Cummings’ poems, both verbal and visual semiotics in the poetic text are carriers of meaning potentials.

The present study contributes to the growing body of research in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) literature on foreign language learners' beliefs about language learning. It aims at exploring students’ beliefs about language learning in an English-medium university in Cairo, Egypt and examining the gender dynamics that shape and sustain those beliefs. The study adopted a mixed-methods data collection approach, data was collected using a questionnaire and interviews. Sixty-five first year students took a modified version of Horwitz’s (1987) Beliefs about Language Learning Inventory (BALLI). Nine participants were interviewed for an in-depth exploration of their language learning beliefs. The results showed that the lucrative future career foreign language learning in Egypt promises is the primary reason students are interested in investing in learning English. In terms of gender dynamics, the findings revealed that gender differences as a variable is not to be assumed. In the specific population which participated in the study, there was little evidence in their intention to follow traditional societal norms proscribing women joining the workforce. Consequently, other social variables ought to be taken into account for more significant research findings.

The aim of this paper is to trace how culture-bound expressions in certain genres are rendered back to their original concepts when they are translated to the language that carries this culture. I hypothesize that, in this case, through the act of translation, a blend occurs between the original text and the culture-bound linguistic concept(s) situated in the mind of the translator who belongs to the same target culture. Applying this hypothesis to The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak (2010) and two of its Arabic translations, an attempt to validate it in the light of Conceptual Blending Theory (Fauconnier and Turner, 2002) and Lexical Priming Theory (Hoey, 2005) is done. Through a qualitative and a quantitative analysis of some culture-bound lexico-grammatical patterns in the English text and its two Arabic translations, challenging remarks are highlighted. The results pinpoint the intertwined relationship between cognitive linguistics and translation studies.
